2002 grand Cherokee stalls, now after replacing fuel pump

Customer Question

2002 grand Cherokee stalls, now after replacing fuel pump stalling came back, now starts for four seconds and won't start code p0320 we had try after mkt crank and cam but they made it worst prior to fuel pump. So everything is original except new fuel pump. Never had code when trying to diagnose stalling before. We clean and tried different IAC before fuel pump too.

Welcome to our site.

P0320 sets when the PCM doesn't get a steady crank signal - this can be caused by bad or intermittent connection or bad wiring. In any case, I need to ask you a few questions before I can formulate a diagnosis path, please answer with as much detail as possible:

  1. After it stalls and won't re-start, is fuel pressure around 50 psi?
  2. After it stalls and won't re-start, is there spark at the plugs?
  3. After it stalls and won't re-start, is there injection pulse?
  4. After it stalls and won't re-start, is the the tach reading any RPM while the engine is cranking?
