Good afternoon and welcome to JustAnswer!!

If you have then VIN for each I will be glad to run it and see if they will interchange... But being they are from the same year model it should be an issue..

Talk soon,

Brad

Both have the 8th digit K. I cannot get the vin from the liberty as it has been crushed but the motor was pulled.

Thanks for the reply!!

The engines will interchange with no issues... If it was a 2004-older it would not work as it has different PCM's but both 2005 engines will interchange with no issues..\

Glad I could help and thank you for the positive rating

The information you have was actually false. Intake manifold and oil pan need to be changed.
Expert:  Brad replied 1 year ago.

The engine itself is the same and yes you will have to use your oil pan, intake, exhaust, wiring, from your engine.. But the base engines are the same..

Thank you for the positive rating,
