Dash gauges going off and sometimes on/2001 jeep grand

dash gauges going off and sometimes on/2001 jeep grand cherokee

Welcome, I am Chris (aka-Moose)

When this occurs is the engine or transmission effected?

When the gauges start working again, does the cluster rest like the vehicle has been started with the warning lights coming on briefly? If this occurs then we need to check the cluster powers and grounds to see if there is an intermittent connection.
