1999 Jeep Cherokee. Driving down the road and the car dies the two truck driver said it was the coil. My brother changed the plugs and the coil. We took it out again and it broke down again. Please help me.

When it stalls are you loosing spark?

When it stalls if you remove the spark plug wire and jump it to ground does it spark? Have you replaced the crankshaft sensor yet?

We tried that also. We will try some more tomorrow. We have some bad weather coming in. I will get a hole of you tomorrow. Thank you.

You will need to check the codes in the PCM first and repair any codes, then check for spark, if none then see if coil is getting 12v constant, and a ground pulse on the other wire.. If so then your coil is bad..
