Hello and welcome to just answer. Does it only do it when you are applying the brakes? Chris
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Never when I hit the break. It's only when I'm driving down the road past 20 miles an hour it starts squeaking really loud and does not stop until I come to a stop

Ok, is this a 2 or*****Cherokee? Chris

Any ideas???
Expert:  Chris replied 1 year ago.
Yes I think it is a front axle bearing or a front axle U joint causing this noise.
Expert:  Chris replied 1 year ago.
You should have a shop put it up on a hoist and run it in gear
Expert:  Chris replied 1 year ago.
Then they can use a stethocope to pinpoint the source of the squeak.

Ok thx
Expert:  Chris replied 1 year ago.
You are welcome. I think it will be the U joint. Chris
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Great. Is that lots of money?
Expert:  Chris replied 1 year ago.
The U joint is only around $60.00, but the labor is around 3 hours, so figure on around $400.00 or less.
