compass: my 2008 jeep compass wont start after a hard rain

my 2008 jeep compass won't start after a hard rain or lots of dew in the morning. Becoming more frequent. Starter was replaced by the dealer. I turn ignition key and dash lights come on but no "clicking"..just nothing. maybe it sits a day or two and will start will run fine for awhile unless another hard rain.

but why does it get wet?

so...when it gets to be lots of moisture or a heavy rain...for example in the morning...the car won't start.

TIM :

Moisture in the air -- the next time this happens -- before we replace any parks -- open hood -- unhook negative battery terminal for 5 minutes then reconnect and see if reset works-- if it does -- replace the WCM

does moisture really have anything to do with this problem

ok....maybe that is why it worked after the dealer replaced the starter.....

TIM :

To be honest -- I do not believe moisture is an issue-- just a coincident-- try the reset the next time it acts up
