1996 Jeep Cherokee: 4.0L/4wd..towing..transfer case..my transmission

Resolved Question:

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 4.0L/4wd. How should I prepare it for towing? Do I set the transmission in neutral and then the transfer case in neutral or reverse I do not want to burn up my transmission as I have heard others have done.

To tow this with all 4 wheels on the ground, you would need to place the transmission in Park, and the transfer case in Neutral.

Doing this will prevent any damage to the transmission and transfer case.
