i have the same kind of problem i guess , random stalling or loss of power.when the power drops i put it to neutral and it comes right back.a mechanic told me that there is a special CAT that needs to be on the jeep and i did just get the exhaust so maby thats the problem? or is it just a coincidence???

hmm no but i dont live in cali
and the cat that is on there is only...........about 3 weeks old i think
the recall is for california emissions there are only two types the federal emissions and california emissions we all use california emissions no matter were your state is .
if the catalitic converter was replace then chanses are this is not the problem, if the power returns when vehicle is put back in to neutral it can be fuel have you done a fuel presure test, and have you replace the fuel filter?
no , but as of yet every "smart" person says their does'nt apear to be a fuel prob they all clam its electric but cant find it
if it was electrical the engine will back fire or hesitate before it lost of power, is that what happens?
if the engine simply looses power like a bog down then is the fuel pump or fuel filter.
yes it has backfired multiple times and it stalls 5 times in 30 sec but not again for 2 weeks . very random
no bog reely
just as if i turned the key off
ok, that sounds like a cranck or cam sensor have they been replace?
no but meinekie suggested it but was afraid to be wrong cause they could not duplicate the prob
well you better lissing to them because they are right the cranck and cam sensor need to be replace together. this sensors will afect secondary ignition and cause back fires, misfires, stalls, and intermitent lost of power and stall.
ok , i'll do that next then i guess. i just dont want to keep getting bleed out i all ready have 211500 miles
dont worryyou'll be ok, just make sure they replace both CAM AND CRANK SENSORS.
this wouldnt have anything to do with the HUD and dashboard shuting down would it/
yes it will , when the cranck sensor shurts out it will short out the instrument panel through the tachometer gage because they are conected together.
awsome!
sounds great then i'll do that
ok.
wish me luck and thanks
dont worry it'll be ok.
thank you.
thank you
