Dave :

Hi, thank you for choosing Justanswer, I look forward to helping you resolve your issue. Could you please tell me which fuse location is blowing? You should be able to look at the inside of the power distrabution centers cover to see what fuse is blowing or atleast its location in the PDC.

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

Hi its a 70a fuse which is on its own by the battery i have a 2.5 diesel

Dave :

ok, give me a couple minutes to pull up that schematic.

Dave :

whatr year is your Jeep/

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

1995

Dave :

ok, just a minute.

Dave :

Ok, if the vehicle will not start cold do you have to get it jumped to start it and then after that once the Jeep is warmed up it will start fine on its own? Just trying to figure out how you get it started to get it warm.

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

iam not sure but after a few turns from a jump from my wifes car it starts then will be fine till it goes cold again. All instruments work ie, lights, Abs, Gauges and so on.

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

Its like you are trying to start it without a choke

Dave :

ok, and even with the fuse blown once the vehicle is warmed up it will start fine, correct?

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

Yes

Dave :

Sorry for the delay, there was a problem with the system and my long explanation of your problem did not get posted. i will type it out again.

Dave :

I believe you have two seperate issues, one the no cold start and two the fuse blowing. For the no start when cold. It is most likely the battery not holding a charge. Since it will start with a jump from your wifes car and then will continue to start fine after its been warmed up tells me the altanator has been able to charge the battery so it will start the Jeep but after the Jeep sits for several hours the battery looses its charge and will no longer start the Jeep. The ckt the blowing fuse is on would not have anything to do with the no start cold condition since the fuse is blown it can not be draining the battery. So to start get, get the battery checked out and replace it if it is bad.

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

Thanks could you tell me what this 70a fuse does?

Dave :

I have not been able to find a schematic that places a 70 amp fuse all by itself by the battery, Have you added any after market accesories such as a wench, amplifier etc.

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

No it come out of the wiring loom

Dave :

is there any way you can take a picture of it and upload it with your post?

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

70a fuse

JACUSTOMER-kd7cs51v- :

hope that helps

Dave :

Ok, did you buy the Jeep used because that is not a factory installed fused. Someone has added it. Your best bet is to pull it up and out of the wiring loom and see what it is attached to.

Dave :

Hi, is there anything else I can help you with or do you have any more questions about your problem? If so please just ask and if not please accept my help. Thank you
