Jeep Limited v-6 engine Will the sport mode on the Jeep

Resolved Question:

Will the "sport mode" on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2011(V-6 engine) improve the Jeeps ability to tow particularly in mountains or am I better leaving the car in the standard "auto mode"? What are the advantages and/or disadvantages in driving in the "sport mode"? Lastly are there "chips" that can be used to adjust shift points adding to the Jeep's performance and, if used, will they affect the warrenty?

Welcome to JA.If you leave it in the sport mode it will improve the power range when towing.you will have better throttle responce in the sport mode but you will use more fuel and there are programmers out there that will change the shift points but this will void your warranty and most say for off road use only.
