Hello and thank you for using Just Answer I'm Paul and I will help you with your Question
this is fuse #6 (15 amp) thats blowing correct?
Transmision Control Fuse under the hood?
No its a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel under the hood.
is this a grand cherokee laredo?
yes, 1995
ok stand by one second
open that image and tell me which fuse number you are dealing with please
yes, it is number 6, but for some reson my has a 10 amp fuse in it.
it should be a 15
that could be your problem... this fuse powers much more than the transmission module
stand by I am attaching the components this fuse controls
start by putting a 15 there and see if it still pops
So, I guess that is probably my problem?
click here to view the components that fuse #6 (15 amp) powers... you can see fuse #6 bottom left of image
yes too low an amp can be your problem
try the 15 amp fuse
if you continue to pop it you need to remove the fuel pump relay , the evap solenoid and the other items on the circuit
Thanks, I will accept your answer and give it a try.
was the fuse popping imediately?
