Customer Question

I have a JEEP Liberty (Cherokee in Australia) 2005 2.8 l CRD.
How do I clear the codes after fixing a fault so that it clears the Limp Mode?
Thanks,
Ed

Country: Australia
Make: Jeep
Model: Liberty Renegade
Year: 2005
Engine: 2.8

Already Tried:
Cleaned MAP filter. Added oil (it was a bit low, thus the P0523 code I guess). Provent fitted

you need to disconnect both the positive and negative battery terminals and touch them together and then leave them disconnected for 10 minutes. This will reset the all the modules on your vehicle, clear codes, and get it back to normal

Unfortunately I tried that a few times and the codes are still there before starting the engine.
Even that ones that wouldn't come up till the engine starts running (camshaft sensor, oil pressure etc).

Well if you have touched them together then either 1. you will need to clear them with a full level scan tool or 2. the problem is still there and has not been corrected
