2006 Jeep Commander: my headlights and instrument panel shut..flickers

Resolved Question:

2006 Jeep Commander. Two nights ago, while driving, my headlights and instrument panel shut off. The instrument panel flickers several times, before it and the headlights shut down. The car continued to run. The next morning, everything appeared fine. The next evening, the same thing occurred again. This never happened before. Any clues?
