2004 jeep liberty: what is the flow control valve..fuel tank..3.7L

Resolved Question:

what is the flow control valve on the front of the fuel tank on a 2004 jeep liberty 3.7L and would it cause the fuel not to go in very fast and give codes of p0440 and p0441

Yes the leak detection pump is what you are referring to and it can cause the problem with the codes. Also check the rubber lines for cracks as they crack and can cause it too. There is also a flow management valve on the tank that may be causing the fuel to not go in very fast (you may have two components that need replaced)

so the flow management valve would be a cause on the gas not going invery fast then how can i get one ive tried the dealership and they keep telling me there isnt one and i keep telling them there is. is there another name for it im not aware of?
