How to replace drive belt (one belt). 1995 Jeep Wrangler 4.OL 6 S OHV (MFI) with Air Conditioner

Belt tension is adjusted at the power steering pump bracket and idler pulley assembly.

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable from battery.
  2. Loosen belt tension at power steering pump bracket and idler pulley
  3. Remove belt.

There is no idler pulley mounted on the pump bracket ? And the pump file tank is mounted on the radiator. do you see any problem here. An is there a special tool require to tension the new belt.

  • Loosen power steering or idler pulley rear mounting bolts, Fig.22 and Fig.23.
  • Loosen power steering pump pivot bolt and locknut.
  •

  • Loosen adjusting bolt to remove belt, Fig.24 and Fig.25.
  • Tighten to adjust belt tension. Refer to Belt Tension Data.
  • Connect battery ground cable
