sounds like the front pump in the trans is bad it stop working when it gets hot and there is not enough presure to engauge the low reverse band

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Could it be the filter or the tranmission fluid too?
Expert:  moparfl replied 8 years ago.
when the filter stops up you will have a cold problem.the pump cant suck the fluid through it fast enough.
Customer: replied 8 years ago.

We lost drive Turned it off, restarted and had drive again. What about the fluid? Could we have the wrong fluid? Could it be a restricted flow?

Expert:  moparfl replied 8 years ago.
what is happening now is the trans is going into a fail safe mode so as not to do any more damage to it and turn key off and back on is resetting it.sound like the front pump in the trans is bad starving for fluid.

Thanks so much. Can't seem to get this one. I'm changing the filter right now. IT could be doing the restricting.
