Hi there,

Here is how to replace the BCM in your Jeep:

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel fuse cover.
  3. Access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connectors from the BCM.
  4. Remove the mounting screws (Torx T-20) that secure the BCM to the JB.
  5. Pull the BCM straight out towards the dash panel far enough to disconnect the integral BCM to JB connector.
  6. Remove the BCM.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!

When i install new BCM, do i have to program anything or will it reset itself?
Expert:  Derrick replied 8 years ago.

You will need to program it to the vehicle with a DRBIII (Chrysler's Scan Tool).

If i buy the part from a junk yard which i'm gonna do, how do i get it programmed? Where do i go? how much does it cost?
Expert:  Derrick replied 8 years ago.

Just take it to a local dealership, they will charge you about .5 hours at their labor rate to have it programmed to your car.
