REMOVAL

WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, REFER TO AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS/AIR BAGS BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIR-BAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY .

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the knee blocker from the instrument panel.

Combination Flasher Remove/Install

  1. Reach through the outboard side of the instrument panel steering column opening to access and disengage the combination flasher wire harness connector retainer from the instrument panel diagnostics mounting bracket.
  2. Pull the combination flasher into the instrument panel steering column opening far enough to access the wire harness connector.
  3. Unplug the combination flasher from the wire harness connector.
  4. install the combination flasher by aligning the flasher terminals with the cavities in the wire harness connector and pushing the flasher firmly into place.
  5. Reinstall the retainer that secures the combination flasher wire harness connector to the instrument panel diagnostics mounting bracket.
  6. Install the knee blocker to the instrument panel.
  7. Connect the battery negative cable.
  8. Test the flasher operation.
