The convertible roof on my 03 XK8 is starting to operate a little slower and is taking longer to close. I am not sure what to do about it.
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: yes
JA: What year is your Convertible?
Customer: 2003
JA: Are you fixing your Convertible yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: no I will not attempt that and I have not tried anything
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: The car is well maintained and only has 37,000 miles on it

This could be a fluid issue. The fluid could be low or has gelled or thickened. The top pump is located behind the side trim in the right hand side trunk. The pump is mounted on the CD changer bracket. We should see the fluid resting in between the two lines. You can shake it slightly to see if the fluid is thickened. Let me know.
