Unfortunately I am not available for a phone call at the moment. First I recommend we check the fluid level in the top pump motor. remove the trunk side trim on the passenger side. The fluid should be seen in between the two lines. Look for any signs of fluid around the overhead console as sometimes the front latch hydraulic hoses leak. There should be a 10mm allen tool secured to the top motor bracket. You can pop off the small round plug on the front header and use that tool to see if we can rotate the front latch closed. Let me know.
Turning it clockwise should close the latch.
Sorry counter clockwise closes it.
Ok please make sure the fluid is full. Then rotate the manual release T screw counter clock wise a couple of turns. lift the top off the claw and use the allen wrench to move the claw up. Get the top engaged in the claw then tighen the allen to seat the top. Rotate the manual release screw clockwise and recheck the top operation.
