2002 Jag X-type with 21,000 miles has been in garage storage

Customer Question

2002 Jag X-type with 21,000 miles has been in garage storage for 5 years. Car starts and has a new battery, but cannot shift out of Park (foot is on the brake during start and shift attempt). Last driven about 2 years ago. All fluid levels are ok. Tried disconnecting battery to 'reset' system as well ???? Just a guess. What is wrong? Thanks.
