Nothing worked to start it, until we just decided to try a new battery.. my husband had to jump in the pool to save someone and he had the keys in his pocket.. we couldn't even get in the car at first

Hi There,I am sorry - but this will not be good news for you. It will not be possible to start the vehicle with this key and for security reasons it will not be possible to start the vehicle without it.You will need the second key for the vehicle.If this is not readily available then the vehicle will need a 2 new keys programmed.This can be done by contacting a lock smith locally or - recovering the vehicle to a Jaguar Dealer.Either option should be able to provide a 2 new electronic keys and program them to your vehicle.
