When the failsafe warning comes on the PCM has detected a fault and stored a code. We may have a fault with the electronic throttle most likely the pedal sensor. To be sure we will need to have the vehicle scanned for the stored fault codes. A Jag factory tool is needed to do this but we can try using a generic OBD II scan tool available at your local parts store to see if we can read a fault code. Let me know.
