Hello and welcome to justanswer.com
Does the warning light flash or is just on solid? Did the passenger side air bag go off?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
on solid with two codes
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no only driver side code b0001-1a,b0002-1a
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Ok thanks. Those fault codes are for the driver front air bag deployment resistance low. I suspect the clock spring is defective. A jag factory tool will be needed to monitor the resistance values on both stages. Then we install airbag simulators which are resistors to see if the value changes.

i replaced the clock spring wit a new one from jaguar
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
When the resistance is below threshold this means there is a short. The wiring can be shorted together. Baring a wire harness problem the clock spring is most likely defective. I have run into this before. What we do is monitor the resistance value. Then disconnect the clock spring to make sure the value increases.

i got a brand new srs unit from jaguar do they have to be programmed I'm presently using the old one
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Yes the restraint control module will definitely need to be programmed by Jag.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
can i use the old one
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Usually the original one can still be used unless there is a cash status full or end of life code which we do not seem to have.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yeah i dont have that
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
and the codes description is stage one-deployment control
stage two-deployment control
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it it was the clock spring or bag wouldn't it give circuit or resistance codes
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
The codes are driver front stage 1 and 2 resistance below threshold.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok well i will try to do a resistance check
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
you have any idea what the resistance reading should be on the bag
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
It should be 2.5-3 ohms but this can only be checked with the tool. We cannot perform any tests with a multimeter.
