Jaguar XJ8 L: I have replaced with no difficulty front air

Customer Question

I have replaced with no difficulty front air shocks in 2006 xj8l, with the help of a professional mechanic in a school lab situation. Now compressor is dead-no electricity, fuses under hood and trunk are good. Found obscure reference on line that Jag dealer must re-activate compressor. Planned to rebuild or replace compressor at this point too but am stuck with car on the lift at this point. Sugestions , Paaaleeese! Thanks

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com
Is there an air suspension fault or vehicle too low warning on? Is just the front of the vehicle sitting low?
