Jaguar XJ8: , the engine starting running rough on my 2004

Customer Question

Hi, the engine starting running rough on my 2004 XJ8 and then threw error codes P1338 (Fuel Pump Driver Module Communications Circuit - Fuel Pump Driver Module), P0191 & P1111. Any ideas where to start with this?

Now car won't start. Should I try clearing the error codes?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I checked fuses in engine compartment related to fuel pump as well as cabin and trunk and none were blown

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com
Sounds like we may have a problem with the in tank fuel pump. I know you said you checked fuses but please double check fuse #33 (20 amp) in the trunk. Then spray some carb cleaner into the air intake and have an assistant crank the engine to see if it will start and run on the spray. If so then we most likely have a bad pump. Let me know.
