Hi, I have a Jaguar S type V8 4.2 Auto on a 2005 plate.
I have a question.. hope you can help.

Is there a relatively simple fix for the noise problem that's present from behind the dashboard when the ignition is off. sounds like flaps or something related to the climate control/ heating.

Hello and welcome to

The ticking and bubbling noise you are experiencing is from the climate control door stepper motors. The fix is to replace them with updated parts. The good news is they can be replaced without major disassembly. I can send you over the procedures if you would like.

That would be fantastic, any chance of some guidance regarding how to get to them? Part numbers would also be very helpfull if possible.

Many thanks

Can I have the last six of your VIN.

Click on the links. There was a service bulletin for this. Your vehicle does not fall into the VIN but the parts and procedures are the same.
