MY husbands 2013 jaguar XF has a locked gas cap.
It is not opening with the smart key unlock button.
Any other suggestions?
Hello and welcome to

Try pressing the unlock button inside the vehicle and have an assistant press the fuel door and it should release. Let me know.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

that did not work either, tried with car running and turned off

Ok stand next to the fuel door and when you unlock the vehicle see if you can hear the fuel door actuator activate. Let me know.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no noise, only the unlocking mechanism in the car.

I do hear sort of a squeak noise in the fuel area when I press the lock button.

Ok this does sound like either the actuator is defective or possibly a poor connection to it. The problem is that in order to access it you need to remove the wheel arch liner to either manually release the actuator.

So will most likely need to have car towed to dealership for this? There is only 5 miles worth of gas left, don't want to run out!

Yes unfortunately that sounds like your best option is to contact road side assistance 1800 4 JAGUAR.
