I have a 2003 S-type R the red brake warning light came on yesterday it flashes and I have a very low warning PING also. The light goes out when I stop and press the brake pedal hard, then comes back on while driving. I am an ASE Master Tech. Thanks, Bobby

Hello and welcome to justanswer.comDo you have any park brake fault warnings on? Can I have the last six digits of your VIN?
Yes the parking brake warning has been on for a short time, I researched that and it said that probably one of the actuator cable or actuator might be defective, the parking brake still works. also the Antiskid light is on, both of these lights are amber. Also I noticed that the cruise control does not work now with the Red warning light on. The last 6 are: M66272. thanks Richard.
Ok so we have a parking brake warning, traction warning as well as the red brake light are all on at the dame time.
Yes, Now since yesterday evening they all three are on and the Cruise is inoperative.
Ok we may have a problem with the brake switch as there are two on this vehicle causing all these issues. As you know we will need to have all the fault codes read in each control module to be sure. If you know of any shop that has a Launch scan tool with European software it can be used and should communicate with all the modules. The reason I asked for the VIN is because early 03 S types had issues with false warnings and the problem was actually the instrument cluster. I am going to check your VIN now.
Your vehicle falls into the cluster issue VIN break. Basically if those warnings are on but no fault codes are stored then the cluster is the problem.

Thanks Richard, I'll let you know what it is.
You are very welcome. Keep me posted.
