I have replaced the dryer, expansion valve, and the readings are still the same. The cooling fan IS working, i checked to make sure the a/c aux COOLING fan is blowing in the correct direction and it is , where can i go from here the head preassure is building up really high after the car is running with the a/'c on what notable problems can i address with a a/c system that seems to have a blockage?. Hello Jimmy and welcome back to justanswer.comDid you replace the condenser?
No i did not , has this been an issue?
Yes on a few. The other possibility is an overcharged system or a problem in the compressor itself.
Experience: 12 years at a Jaguar dealer as technician and shop foreman.
Richard, we did a little closer looking and found out the condenser fan had an appox 2inch gap between the condensor and the fan assy, and a lot of air was blowing up twoards the hood , not giving the condenser enough cool air , so we fabricated a rubber seal to close up the gap, and now it works great, thanks!
OK that will do it. We figured it was a condenser issue. Let me know if anything changes.
Richard its Jimmy, i have a 96 xj6 4.0, have a hard start problem when it either cold or hot, when the car is cold it may have to turn over 7-8 times then it will start, once it starts if i shut it off she will fire right up, when it sits more than 15 minutes it has to crank another 7-8 times to start, i can promise it is a fuel problem, need to know if there is a check valve for the fuel pressure external, or is it in the pump? Fuel regulator?? Let me know thanks! Hope all is well with you.
Hey Jimmy. Are you able to check fuel pressure at the rail.
I will leave feedback, didn't know,I really don't have that equipment, but I do have a spare parts car that's complete, if there is something I can change that is common with this issue let me know, and I can try swapping it out
There is a check valve in that supply port in the tank but based on your description I suspect the pump is faulty and should be replaced.
