Hello and welcome to justanswer.com

It is not that difficult to replace the shocks but it can be tricky to do yourself. The rear spring needs to be removed so you either need to use a spring compressor or lower the frame to remove the spring and replace the shock.
The way I do them you do not need to drop out the rear end or use a spring compressor. You will need to lower each side one at a time. First remove the brake caliper, anchor bracket, rotor and ABS sensor harness. Remove both lower shock nut and through bolt. You will need to support the bottom. Then remove the front of the rear sub frame bolt and bracket and the 15mm bolt holding the rear X bracket to the body. You need to support the side of the frame. Then loosen but do not remove the other side front rear subframe bolts and lower the one side. You can then slide the spring off the shock tower and out of the vehicle. Then remove the four 13mm nuts and remove the shock and top plate. Install the new shock then reinstall in the same manner as removed. On the rear subframe you will see a washer on the guide pin on the body. Make sure this washer goes back on.
