I Had A 97 Jaguar XJ6 L Detailed & At Some Point During It Being Returned To Me It Apparently Started De-ccelerating & Wouldn't Restart. I Can't Get Anything Out of It Although The Lights,Radio Still Come On. I Was Wondering If Perhaps An Electrical Wire Maybe Be Kicked Loose? I Checked All The Fuses & They Seem Good. It Won't Start or Even Go Into Gear-I Need Help????
Hello and welcome to justanswer.comSo right now the engine will not crank and the shifter will not release from park with the ignition ON and foot on the brake.

Are There Any Suggestions?
Relist: Other.Still Waiting On An Initial Answer After Follow Up Question*
Sorry for the delay. If the shifter is stuck in park this could be a tripped inertia switch, fault in the Body Processor Module or a problem with the circuit. Make sure the inertia switch is not tripped. All you need to do is depress the top of it to reset it. It is located in the right front lower kick panel at the corner of the dash. Next please check fuse #5 (10 amp) in the trunk.
Sorry About The Delay......Been Away From Computer Troubleshooting Car. I've Checked All The Fuses Individually 3x's. As Far As The Switch (reset inertia) Not Sure If That's On A Different Model But, Right Side Front Toe Kick Under Dash Only Has A Sealed Metal Box w/o Any Buttons Attached8
Relist: Other.Knowledgeable Response, Just Needed A Bit More Info As I'd Already Attempted What Was Suggested*
The switch should be behind that box.
So The Metal Box w/ Star Pattern Screws Mounted To The Sidewall I Should Remove?Just Wanna Make Sure I Have It Right So I Don't Make Anything Worse- Really Appreciate Info*
You should be able to depress the top of it to reset it.
