Hi, it sounds like you might have a fuel pump starting to go bad.
If the pump is failing you usually will not get a check engine light.
It's also possible that there is a fault developing with the mass air flow sensor or with an ignition coil and the engine management computer has not detected the fault yet.
If the problem is intermittent it may not yet meet the criteria for setting a fault code.
When you put car in gear trans is smooth and no bump. You can acclerate and it feels good the all of a sudden it feels like the trans is slipping, or bumping ....but again no light
Ok, it sounds like a transmission fault. I was wondering if you might be experiencing a transmission bump. I think you are going to get a fault code soon enough. I would start by having the fluid level checked in the transmission. You might even want to try a transmission flush.
Have good local tech. Is this hard to do? Do i have to take to jag store?
What is the correct way to check the fluid. car running in park or shut the car off?
Fluid level is checked from below with the motor running and the fluid temperature below 30°C. He will need adapters to adapt to the transmission so that he can perform the flush.
You are supposed to connect the car to the Jaguar scan tool to monitor the fluid temperature but he can use an infrared heat gun on the pan.
wow...sounds like i should take to jag store.
It might be best.
jag store is about 15 miles should i tow or drive....
If the bump is getting worse I think I would tow the car. If you think you can drive it without the bump occurring you should be fine driving it.
thanks so much
You're quite welcome
