Hello and Welcome to justanswer..

The Tcm (computer) will have triggered the light because of the sudden loss of fluid - hence loss of pressure in the transmission.

The transmission may be ok - it will be a case now of tracing the cause of the leak - this can be a seal / washer / burst pipe etc - Its a little hard to say exactly what from here - so it will be a case now of physically tracing the cause of the fluid loss / leak.

Once thats found and repaired - refill the fluid and re try it. Usually so long as you have not overheated the transmission and therefore no knocking / grinding noises or lock ups...it should be ok once that has been done as above.

Im very pleased to have helped you - Let me know if I can help anymore...
