Hello and welcome to justanswer.com
Was this the check engine light or was it a small oval light above the digital odometer/trip display? How is the engine running?
It is the light associated with the garage door opening buttons.
Relist: Incomplete answer.
If you press and hold the two outer buttons does the light blink?
no
Ok we may have a problem with the contacts in that overhead console. Using finger pressure starting from the front of the console by the windshield pull gently down to disengage the console then check the electrical connector.
all three probes produce a yellow steady light or any combination of probes, same color
Ok this does mean you have a rolling code door opener when it flashes yellow. There is a separate procedure you need to do. This should be in the manual.
1. Programme your portable remote control to the vehicle
integrated transmitter as described previously.
2. Remove the cover panel from the GDO receiver. The receiver
would be located by the garage door opener motor.
3. Locate the training button on the GDO receiver. The exact
location and colour of the button may vary by different
manufacturers. If the training button cannot be located,
consult the GDO manual.
4. Press the receiver training button for two seconds.
5. Return to the vehicle and press the integrated transmitter
button for the duration of the rapid flashing yellow indicator
light (one to two seconds). Release the button and then press
the button again to confirm that the integrated transmitter
has been trained to the receiver.
The garage door opener has now been trained to recognise your
vehicle GDO. Either the integrated transmitter or the original
portable remote transmitter can now be used to open the
garage door.
STEADY yellow light.
Ok I think you have a problem with the garage door controller in that console. The unit will most likely need to be replaced.
