MY jaguar X-TYPE WON'T START. CHANGE THE BATTERY BUT THE INTERIOR LIGHT AND RADIO WORK BUT IT FAILS TO CRANK

First make sure that the battery cable connections are clean and secure. Sometimes I see issues with the negative cable corroding if the battery cracked at the negative post. Next make sure that the inertia switch did not trip. This switch is located behind the passenger front kick panel. There is an access hole in the panel that you can stick your finger through to depress the top of the switch.
