Quick question can my employer change my hours of work. I

Hi quick question can my employer change my hours of work. I currently work 9-5 as stated in my contact but now my employer is saying I have to work 8-5. Can they make me does this?

They are going to pay be for the extra hours but I don't want to work these hours as they are not what the contract states
