Customer Question

Can you dispute an invoice you have paid or is paying the invoice accepting it under law?

1. Tendering payments in law normally constitutes acceptance of the validity of the debt due. However, there are exceptions in instances of fraud, mistake or misrepresentation. So if someone fraudulently induces you to accept an invoice, then you can dispute it subsequently. Same if you make mistake, Or if someone misrepresents to you that a debt is owed.
