Sale of family home.

Is a contract for  sale of a  home binding when there is a deposit taken by the vendors solicitor and contract are with the purchasers solicitor ? The vendor has not signed anything. There are out clauses for the purchaser ie not getting the finance.

No, there is no binding contract until the vendor signs contracts regardless of whether a deposit has been received or not
