due to the new bill, "spent conviction Bill 2012, how can i find out if my conviction is now spent. It occurred 7 years ago, and was a 6 month suspended sentence, for theft.

Ronan : It is not spent as this is currently only a drat bill which needs to go through both the dail & Senad votes before it can becomes law

ok so if it does become law, do you know if the conviction will become spent and wiped off the records, allowing travel to other countries as well as applying for jobs, as far as we can tell this is correct, based on what is written in the draft bill. many thanks

Ronan : Yes, based on what is proposed in the legislation this will be the case as your sentence is less then 12 months and your record will not show conviction after 7 years.
