Customer Question

I found recently a competitor had copied my Web content and tweaked it to make it their 'own.' I hired a copywriter to write this content for me therefore I know it is my original. I know cease and desist but how do I go about it?

hello. well you simply write them an email or letter identifying your original, copyright-protected material and show how they have copied/misappropriated it and that you consider it copyright infringement...and then you can either demand they stop using it and/or pay some monetary sum. but be aware that you cannot file a copyright lawsuit for infringement unless/until you have a registered copyright
