I have developed a "cheat sheet" for a nursing software program. The computer company does not have anything like this. They are calling me wanting me to tell them my secrets. How do I copyright my cheat sheet?
Optional Information: State/Country relating to question: Texas Already Tried: The software company contacted me today wanting me to "help" their computer folks fine tune their software using MY cheatsheet I developed. Can I copyright it?
hello
copyright protects the expressive/original/creative aspects of your work....from the moment you write it down, the copyright arises, but for added legal benefits (generally relating to lawsuits) you can register your copyright
the cost is about $35 per work and it can be done at www.copyright.gov
So if I apply for the copyright, do I have to wait until I receive approval to talk to them or let them see it?
no you don't need to wait
