Make? Model? Problem?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
JL, t500j, we can not get the outriggers to raise due to some type of electrical problem.

Is the boom all the way down in the stowed position? That should release the outriggers.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
it is, but they will still not raise.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
We have an electrician here looking at it that can answer any technical questions that you have
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

No error codes?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

boom fully retracted and stowed?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
How do we check for error codes?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

WHere is the operators manual? It covers the code procedure.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The triangular abnormal operating condition light comes on when the controls are engaged and then goes back out.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
We have the machine parked on a level concrete surface
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Has the level sensor been checked, it may be causing the fault.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Where is the level sensor located, and how should I tell the electrician to check it?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

it is in the lower control box. And another thing to check is each outrigger has a switch, if any one switch is stuck, all outrigger function stops.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The 4 indicater lights all come on for the outriggers, is that conclusive?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

If all four lights are on, switches should be ok. Will boom operate, just will not release outriggers? Battery voltage ok, Or is this gas unit?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It is an electric unit. The only thing that wont operate is the outriggers. They will go down but not up.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Battery voltage is good. Yes.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

Does the pump/motor run when outrigger up is selected? Is the switch good?

Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

JLG has on line service manual for the unit. With electrical schematics.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It does nothing at all. The switch is good.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

So it is not turning on the pump motor. Get electrician to jump the pump motor and ses if the outriggers will raise with control.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Ok, thank you.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

I assume you want to move the unit .then you can take to shop for repair.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No we are fixing it here. That's why we have an electrician here.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

oK. Do you have access to the manual?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
We had the electrical pages faxed to him earlier today.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Is there a way to log back in tomorow without paying again?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 10 months ago.

There should be a link in your email to get back to here.
