What engine do you have? The shutoff solenoid may not be getting battery voltage as soon as the key is turned on. Do you have voltage to it, with key on? One direction drive? If you spin unit 180 , will it drive? Throttle may be related to the fuel solenoid not working properly.
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
It is a deux diesel,no power to it no, i have been putting power direct to it then it will start. Yes, it only would move in one direction. I never tried to spin it 180.

Deutz diesel. Solenoid on the side of the block? Unbolt it and see if engine runs right. You can reach in and kill engine after test.

the solenoid works, im trying to figure out why I am not getting power to it.
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 6 months ago.
Do you have to leave power to it? It has to have power, at all times. Usually Genie would run through relay, to the solenoid. Relay would be in lower panel. Trace wire numbers or colors.
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
yes, there are five relays mounted on the panel door the first one on the right has no current at all.
if i power the relay it the same condition as jumping the solenoid
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
could the whole problem be a defective altenator ?
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 6 months ago.
Low voltage can cause problems, but with Genie if alternator is not working, it kills engine. ??
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
yes engine is dead without jumping the solenoid, stalls if you try moving and there is no throttle operation
Expert:  Curtis B. replied 6 months ago.
Battery fully charged, and does the alternator show to be charging? If not, start there!
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
i will start there
