Hi there,
Firstly, can I ask what fuel it uses, & if petrol/LPG, does it behave the same on both?
Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott,
Runs LPG only with standard factory fitted alternator.

Hi again Harry,

The 'surging' sounds like it's gas converter, or feed line from the cylinder related. Surging is usually related to partial lean-out, which can be either a converter in need of service, or sometimes even the cylinder connection. It could be a vacuum leak, but I would expect the issue to be more consistent in that case.
I think there's a bit of co-incidence with the ignition tune up, unless the distributor is faulty on the mechanical or vac advance side, but once again, I would expect the issue to be more prevalent..
I hope this helps!
Cheers
Scott
