You either have a battery or cable problem, or the engine could be locked up. Have you tried turning the engine by hand? Using fan blade or wrench on the front?
Do you have voltmeter to check the battery and the cable connections? The negative cable a the frame and the positive to the starter solenoid? all they all clean and tight?
The engine quitting, makes me think engine could be problem. Lets be sure it is ok, before trying to fix something that is not broke.

engine turns over with fan. Battery shows fully charged. Will check all cable continuities this afternoon. Discovered new ign switch turns freely in barrel without making any contact. Jumped battery to ign and battery to starter with no luck.
