How to I set up my Lincoln welder for MIG. It is set up for flux core now but should be convertible. I have set up argon gas supply to torch but can only control from the regulator. Is a torch operated valve required????
Already Tried: See question it is very specific

Thank you for your answer - and in fact I do now know the answer to my question.
Since sending my question I have now found my instruction book and it is evident that a solenoid cut off valve has to be inserted into the gas line and this is in the transformer side of the welder.
The solenoid valve is part of a complete conversion set offered by Lincoln; but I already have the argon regulator and the other parts. So now I just need to find a source for the valve 115/24V in England where the machine now lives.
If this means my fee can remain a credit I will be very happy. I'm sure another question will come up in the future.
