Customer Question

FOR JUDITH:I am currently on H-4 on my husband's H1-B. His PERM is about to be applied to the USCIS. Once his PERM is approved (hopefully in 8 months or so), can we apply for I-485 immediately after that? When can I (as his spouse) expect to get the EAD card to be able to work in the US?Thanks,
Ummehani.

Yes, 485 may be filed concurrently with I-140.

When can I (as his spouse) expect to get the EAD card to be able to work in the US?

The I-765 is filed concurrently with 140/485.
