Thanks for the previous answer, my wife is due for delivery in a couple of weeks she is in the US under a tourist nonimmigrant visa and I did not apply for her green card yet, if she gets emergency Medicaid to pay for the hospitalization, will this impact or create a problem with her green card application I am intending to file, should I file for her green card before Medicaid assistance (now) or should I wait till her delivery?

It could cause a problem because she might not be able to prove that she would not become a public charge. So you should apply for her before that. Please do not forget to leave feedback if that is an option for you as that is the only way that I can get credit for my assistance. Thank you.

When you said "apply for her before that" , did you mean apply for the green card or did you mean apply for Medicaid ? which one should come first, kindly clarify, thanks.
Meaning that you should apply for her before she applies for anything, but if it turns out that it is not emergency medicaid, then you will be responsible for paying the U.S. government back for the value of those services. Please understand that myself, and you and all other tax payers would pay for her medical costs of the birth and that is not really fair. So the U.S. wants to avoid any issues with that. So if she applies for help before getting Residency, they could deny her Residency because they would believe that she would become a public charge. If she applies for help after getting Residency, you MIGHT be responsible for paying the government back for the cost of that help. Please do not forget to leave feedback if that is an option for you as that is the only way that I can get credit for my assistance. Thank you.
