I am a Canadian citizen who wants to travel to the US on a business trip. However, I have been arrested and charged with criminal mischief under $5,000 in Canada. As well, I have twice had police contact because of mental health crises. Is it possible that these facts would make it difficult to get into the US?

You cannot use the Visa Waiver. You will need to apply for a B-2 visa and provide certified copies of both the police report and the court disposition. You should also carry with you certified copies of both when you travel. You should not be denied entry, but you will need to go through those extra steps. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I would be happy to answer them for you without additional charge. If there is a delay in getting back to you it is either because I am answering other questions or I had to log off, but I will be back with you as soon as possible. My goal is to provide you with top-notch service - please don't forget to leave me feedback if that is available for you to do so and a bonus is always appreciated. Hello. Why is this poor service? I am not at fault for what the law says. What else can I answer for you to make you feel better about the service?
